2024 Funded Partner Organizations:

GenHTX Grant Funding Opportunity

This funding opportunity is designed to support partner organizations in implementing civic engagement activities for Harris County residents ages 18 to 35.

In 2026, GenHTX will strengthen collective impact by investing in partners who are committed to continuous quality improvement, data-informed strategies, and collaborative approaches to civic participation. Together, we will integrate data to identify high-opportunity voter communities and develop meaningful, relationship-centered engagement strategies.

This opportunity is intended for organizations that prioritize:

Data-driven decision making

Cross-sector collaboration

Continuous learning and quality improvement

GenHTX welcomes a wide range of project approaches and recognizes that effectively engaging high-opportunity voters requires multiple, layered strategies.

Collective Action for Youth (GenHTX) is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing political activity. GenHTX does not support or oppose any political candidates or parties.

The IRS affirms that 501(c)(3) organizations may conduct nonpartisan voter engagement activities, including encouraging voter participation, providing voter education, and engaging candidates on issues.

GenHTX funding may not be used for voter registration or issue-based organizing.

Partners will be notified if their proposals will advance by Monday, February 16, 2026.

We believe that when we center and share power with youth to organize, vote, and build power, we can better the lives of young people and all Houstonians. We can do this together!

Let’s keep up the momentum GenHTX!
